It started with two old school friends who wanted to keep the good times rollin'...

...with one simple recipe:

November  2001  ,    Year 8 school trip !!!

SO WE STARTED EXPLORING IDEAS...

Meanwhile, Billy had gone off to the US to explore the dirty south... soaking up all the bourbon & soul food he could get his hands on, learning all about the great creole cuisine along the way.

While road tripping around for just over a year, Sam met some great people from all over the world with various different cooking styles.

He had time to experiment with his favourtie dishes,

cooking the traditional way...

on an open fire.

THEN WE REUNITED...

and couldn't stop talking about the

good times. We decided we had to

take our passions to the streets...

good food, good vibes & good old fashioned soul tunes.

So after many drunken discussions and a bit of sober research...

SOUL AND PEPPER was born.

'TWAS TIME TO PERFECT THE RECIPES...

We spent months in the kitchen and tested everything - different cuts of meat, cooking techniques, different spice blends, experimenting with sauces... everything was tested until we found the ultimate recipes.

Then we were ready!

OUR FIRST EVENT...

the generator packed in, it rained all weekend,

but the sausages were sizzling, the chilli was flowing and the soul tunes were pumping.

It was great fun and we learnt a lot.

ONE THING LED TO ANOTHER, WE QUIT OUR 9-5s

AND HAVEN'T LOOKED BACK SINCE...

Let the good times roll...

good comfort food +  good  soul  music  =  good times guaranteed
